Couple Services

Foundations CFT offers specialized couple therapy services for couples at all stages. From dating and engaged to married or remarried, Foundations is committed to supporting relational health. Couples attend therapy for many different reasons. Often couples agree to seek therapy when communication is a struggle and partners feel stuck in repetitive cycles of arguing, distance, or both. For some, it is a chance to repair a minor disagreement, for others it is much needed support following an affair, addiction recovery, or a relational hurt.
Marriage and Couple Counseling
Marriage and Couple Counseling is focused on addressing issues that get partners stuck in order to support growth, repair, and healing. From constant conflict to living like roommates, this counseling is for couples who desire to increase relational understanding and responsiveness.
Emotionally Focused Therapy
Emotionally Focused Therapy or EFT is a model of couple therapy with over 30 years of research.  EFT is designed to help couples understand negative cycles of interaction, repair distress, and increase emotional responsiveness.
Discernment Counseling
At times, couples struggle to agree on a path forward for their relationship. Discernment Counseling is focused on supporting couples in considering different choices for their relational future. It is a brief therapy focused on decision making.
Separation and Divorce Counseling
While divorce may legally end a marriage, it does not end heartache or help a couple develop a coparenting relationship. Separation and Divorce Counseling is focused on helping a couple create new relationship boundaries and agreement toward shared responsibility in parenting.
Individual Therapy
Individual Counseling is available to those who want to focus on personal growth or healing. Some seek to address personal concerns or heal from a difficult situation. Individual therapy is appropriate when a person is not ready or committed to working with their family or partner in treatment.
